A rustic rug made from 100% hemp with a beautiful graphic pattern along the edges. The short sides of the rug feature decorative fringes. The Edge hemp rug measures 170x240 cm and is perfect for use in the living room, bedroom, or kitchen. The rug is dyed with 100% natural, azo-free dyes derived exclusively from plants. The dyeing process takes place before the rug is handwoven using an ancient traditional technique in India. As these rugs are handwoven, they may vary in shape and colour and differ slightly from the images.The Edge hemp rug is also available in the 200x300 cm size, which you can find here.

Our hemp rugs are made by hand by talented craftsmen in India where they have long traditions and skills in rug weaving. The fiber is extracted from the outer part of the stem of the fast-growing hemp plant. It is a material known to be both dirt-repellent and durable. Hemp fibre is highly sensitive to light and may change colour over time if placed in direct sunlight. Dark rugs dyed with yarn may fade, while lighter rugs can develop a yellowish tone.

Washing guidelines:

Vacuum regularly with care to keep clean.
Clean spills immediately so that they do not become set in the rug.
Remove spills immediately by blotting with a clean dry cloth.
Spot clean with cold water.
Professional cleaning is recommended.

Care guidelines:

Do not pull the loose ends if any. Trim with scissors.
Pile shredding is normal with natural fibers, this will reduce with time and usage.
Avoid direct & continuous exoposure to sunlight.
Rotate the rug regularly to avoid uneven wear and fading.

All our rugs in sizes 170x240, 200x300 and 300x400 cm will be delivered to your home during day time. Please note that delivery takes place only on weekdays and to your gate/port. DHL will contact you to schedule the delivery. Please choose "home delivery" as the shipping options at checkout. The smaller rugs are delivered to the nearest DHL service point just as usual.
